Groundwork

Mentorship Program

Build the foundation for an investment-ready & thriving agri-food social enterprise.

Running a food or agriculture business takes more than a strong idea — it takes clear systems, financial confidence, and the ability to make informed decisions as you grow.

The Groundwork Mentorship Program is designed to help you build that foundation.

Through one-on-one mentorship, you’ll work alongside experienced advisors to strengthen your business management skills, improve your financial understanding, and prepare your enterprise for future funding opportunities.

Program Overview

The Groundwork Mentorship Program is available to Inclusive Prosperity applicants and clients. The program aims to strengthen essential business management and financial skills among food and agriculture enterprises through hands-on, one-on-one mentorship.

  • You’ll be paired with a mentor and work together over a defined period (typically 1-3 months) through focused, one-on-one sessions. We are happy to assist in meeting coordination, or happy to allow clients and mentors to set their own schedule.

  • We believe mentorship should be meaningful and accessible. That’s why costs are shared:

    • Early sessions are fully or partially subsidized to reduce barriers.

    • Subsidized sessions for applicants start at just $25/hour for the first four hours.

    • This approach supports accountability, commitment, and long-term independence

All payments are handled through Inclusive Prosperity. Mentors are compensated directly — you won’t pay them individually.

  • Your mentor will work with you to:

    • Clarify your goals and priorities

    • Identify gaps and opportunities in your business

    • Strengthen your financial understanding and planning

    • Support you in preparing for funding or growth

Mentorship is practical and focused. You may receive action steps or guidance after sessions, but this is not a formal training program — it’s tailored, one-on-one support.

  • The Groundwork Mentorship Program is designed to support your readiness for funding — but it does not guarantee approval or access to capital.

It is one step in the process of building a strong, resilient, and investment-ready enterprise.
